Why Consign with Luxotic?

Did you know that Dealerships have to put up a $300,000 bond to get a license to consign cars in Alberta?


Those who do not have bonds or licenses could simply sell your car, keep the money and not pay off your loan if you have one.


That makes it very difficult to get your money back in that case.


The Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) is in place to protect consumers from issues like this, and that is why they require the bond, so the dealer is financially backing up their word that they will follow through with all payouts.

This makes the process so much easier for a potential buyer to make a deal. They don't have to sell their vehicle before buying yours and it's all handled on one set of paperwork. Easy and smooth.


If you decide later that you don't want to wait for a retail client, we can wholesale your vehicle off then and put cash in pocket within a business day or two.

Financing

We work with many lenders who offer financing, close-ended leasing, and open-ended leasing.


Instead of requiring a buyer to pre-arrange their own financing, this process makes it much easier for a buyer to get approved for a vehicle, and a lot sooner. So you're not stuck waiting for your money!

Tax Savings

By consigning with us, we can hold your vehicle sale value as a trade in credit against a future purchase, saving you the GST on that amount.


So for example, if your car is sold for $80,000, we hold a $4,000 GST credit against your next vehicle. If your next car is $100,000, you only pay the GST on the $20,000 difference, not the full $100,000.


You don't even need to buy your next vehicle from us directly. We would simply broker that with the dealer you are buying it from for an $800 broker fee.

Fair Structure

We only require a small $295 +GST investment to get started.


This partially covers the detailing and professional photos required to show your car at it's best. We cover the rest.


Then your only other investment is a "Success Fee" that only gets paid after we sell your car and collect the funds.


Our Success Fee is only 6% of the vehicle value, but our goal is to ensure you still net MORE than what you would have selling privately. Often times we are able to get clients 10%+ more than what they could get selling privately. And all without the hassles of private listings and showings.
